A Night of Recognition and Inspiration

On Monday, April 15th, Xpert Resourcing’s Emma Smith and Naomi Sherwood joined other local businesses at the Ely Hero Awards Launch Party held at the beautiful Poets House Hotel in Ely. Guests enjoyed a delightful drinks reception while learning about the exciting plans for this year’s ceremony.

The event brought together the esteemed judging panel, last year’s winners, and other prominent figures in the local community. A highlight of the evening was a speech by His Majesty’s Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mrs. Sue Freestone. She discussed how the Lieutenancy office supports the Ely Hero Awards, including offering the Ely Hero Winner a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a royal invitation to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party!

Last year’s winner, Wayne Bent, was present at the Launch Party. He excitedly shared his plans to attend the Garden Party next month with his wife, complete with a new outfit fit for the occasion!
