Senior Accounts Assistant

Xpert Resourcing are working with a growing Accountancy Practice based close to Newmarket who are looking to recruit a new member into their team.

This is a great opportunity to join a small and friendly team who offer a supportive environment where you can continue to grow and learn.

Duties will include:

• Preparation of sole trader, partnerships and limited company accounts.
• Prepare accounts to trial balance and general accounts preparation.
• Analyse client’s accounts and help to prepare reports when necessary.
• Gain in depth knowledge of using Xero and common apps for bookkeeping and VAT
• Assist with Payroll when necessary.
• Assist with Personal Tax and Corporation Tax computations, ready for manager review
• Responsibility for Companies House and HMRC filing for clients.

Experience / skills required:

• Previous experience working within an accountancy firm is ideal.
• Experience of working with Sole Traders and Partnerships.
• Strong attention to detail.

Hours of work:

• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
